At age 15 I have devoted my training and time to jumping high and becoming a better high jumper. I have many dreams that I plan on accomplishing and with hard work they will all come true. I've been through a lot and I am sure there is more to come, but I know that i'll get through it. Project Mason isn't just a blog...it's my journey.

Finally Tested my Vertical! ...and I'm Grounded

Hey guys, today was my second day of school and it went pretty good. I woke up today at 5:45, like I always do, and tried to do my D.D.'s and core stability but I was so tired I just went to bed. I went to cross-country and the workout was a recovery 3 mile run, so not that bad. I tried to do plyometrics today but i'm just so tired, I got in like a "half" workout. I wasn't happy with that and I was pissed the whole time after my workout, which eventually lead to me getting grounded! So yeah. The good news; I tested my vertical! I was at the same point (29in) when I tested it, which is what I expected with cross-country. I did have one jump however where I felt like I got way above (like 30in +) my original mark. I had to stop testing it because I bashed my arm up against the house which is where I test my vertical.

overview of today:

1. to tired to do D.D.'s and core stability in the morning
2. cross-country felt fine
3. plyometric workout was s*** but still got "something" in
4. did my D.D.'s and core stability in the evening

Off to take my shower and go to bed! I think sleep good be hindering my energy levels, and I can't have that.

Peace,
Mason

  1. Sounds like you did not have the best day yesterday! I am sure your vertical will increase once you are not so worn out. I would be happy to have a 29" standing vertical!! I am about 27.5" right now. Keep up the work!!
