Hey guys, yesterday I ran my first race as a sophomore in cross-country and it was awesome! It was a really hilly course and I was still recovering from my calf injury, I had to wear my calf brace. I manged to run a 22.58.8 which isn't bad considering my injury to my calf. I actually ran in the reserves race, which is like JV, and got a medal! So yeah, not a bad race. Today was my day of rest but I decided I would take my day and print off my schedule, workouts, and sheets for my new jump manual phase, i'm calling it "Jump Manual XC". Basically, it's the same schedule in the original jump manual and I have my lifting day on a Saturday and rest day on Sunday. So i'm going to be starting that schedule this Wednesday and until then i'm going to deload. Normally my deloading process is longer but I can't chance losing vertical due to slow-twitch muscle fiber training. Today I also went to my first class in driving school, and it was pretty cool, defiantly not what I expected. I met some new kids there and it was cool. I actually knew one kid there, his name is Jeremy and he is my high jump nemesis. He doesn't know it, but I carefully watch him in his high jump career. I know it sounds weird, but like they say "keep your friends close, and your enemies closer". In my class there is a group of girls and they were all pretty nice, but there was this one girl that really stuck out to me. I want to just talk to her and maybe get her number or something. I was to afraid to talk to her because of her being in that group of friends. Any suggestions? leave a comment telling me what to do. I'm kind of in my own group with the guys and they're in their own group (funny how cliques work). Anyways, I really want to talk to her and meet her. Who knows where it will go?
quick update on my vertical:
Yesterday I couldn't do more lower body lifting due to running my first race that morning, so my legs weren't adapted to running that hard. They'll get used to it and I will be able to do my lower body again in the evening. Instead, since I couldn't lift heavy, I did 2 x 50 air squats and 2 x 50 calf raises. Also, I was tossing the frisbee with my dad a couple of days ago and just joking around I dunked the frisbee on a 10' hoop. So I still got it hahaha

Wish there was a girl that stuck out in my school haha... I would try and get her alone if possible and try and talk to her and see what she is like and then get the digits. Good luck training and with the girl!!
