Hey guys, just got done with my first FULL week of school! It wasn't that bad and at least I survived it. I have a cross-country meet tomorrow at 8 a.m. and I'm hoping to run a 21 or at least low 22's like I have been. My times have been good so far this year; my first-mile splits are really looking good, last week I ran a 6:50 for my first-mile! I ended up with like a 22.20 which i'm not to happy about but whatever, my goal is to run 21's. My calf is still acting up but I feel like it's just from cross-country, it is getting better though! I started my "Jump Manual XC" phase yesterday with some plyometrics. I normally would do plyos on Wednesday but I had a meet that day so I did them Thursday. Today I did off-day exercises with my D.D.'s and some core work (here is a link to my ab workout I do occasionally click here). It was a good workout but I've been cutting my protein portions down on my like "moderate" days to 22g of protein from tuna. I keep my carbs at 22g too. Normally, on a hard workout day, I ingest 44g of protein and about 40g of carbs. As far as my personal life goes, I still haven't talked to that girl from driving school yet. This is because I haven't seen her in for ever, and I won't see here this Sunday due to Labor Day, but next week I will try and get some balls and talk to her. Instead of driving school, i'm going to a mud bog with my dad and my friend, should be pretty cool! Can't wait! Happy Labor Day weekend everyone!
quick update on my vertical:
I've doing workouts and "stuff" and haven't noticed a decrease in my vertical. I have noticed a small change but I attribute that to fatigue because of my rigorous schedule. So no changes! No gains, no losses...just what I expected. I'm not gaining but i'm not losing my vertical either. This is what I always expect during cross-country season.
Peace,
Mason
